Ulf Jorgensen has owned and showed Afghan Hounds since 1967, and his wife Lotte Jorgensen has breed about 30 litters of Afghan hounds besides a few litters of Poodles, American Cocker Spaniels and Whippet under the Boxadan prefix.

The Boxadan puppies has been exported to all over the world - to most of the countries in Europe as well as to USA, Canada, South Africa, Kenya, Brazil, Chile, Australia and Japan, and most of them with great success. Boxadan afghans have been "Afghan of The Year" ( male or female ) in Denmark, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, South Africa, Brazil and Japan.

Boxadan was Afghan Hound Breeder Of The Year in Denmark 14 times since 1981, and owner or breeder of The Afghan Hound Of The Year in Denmark 16 times since 1974. Owner of Multi-Ch. El Khyrias Drambuie, who was "Dog Of The Year" of all breeds in Denmark in 1978. The same title was going to Multi-Ch. Boxadan Hey Ma, Look At Me in 1986, and Multi-Ch. Boxadan Xercise Makes Master was runner-up to the title in 1993.
Each of these three Afghans have been winning the FCI World Winner title twice, and Afghans, who were owned, co-owned or bred by Boxadan, have been winning the FCI World Winner title 11 times since 1976.

Boxadan afghans have won more than 200 champion-titles all over the world including several Best In Shows. Started to breed on the beautiful Scandinavian El Khyrias Afghans, and are today one of the very few breeders, who are still loyal to the strong and powerful, but elegant style of Scandinavian Afghans.

Ulf Jorgensen was one of the founders of the Danish Afghan Hound Club in 1972, and was President in the 70'ies and 80'ies. Ulf was member of the General Committee of the Danish Kennel Club from 2004 to 2007, and has been judging All Breed Matches and Sweep-stakes in Scandinavia, Estonia, Canada, USA and Russia.

Ulf has organized Show of Winners ( like Contest of Champions ) in Denmark since 1981, and has for many years been member of the Show Commitee in the Danish Kennel Club. In 1997 Ulf was organizer of the 3rd World Congress for Afghan Hounds in Denmark, and in 2014 he was elected as Chairman of the Afghan Hound World Congress Committee.
